The Soul of the Work
This vessel is a celebration of the raw, untamed beauty found in nature’s growth. Part of the "Mountain-Born" series, it is entirely hand-built without the use of a pottery wheel. Each curve and indentation is shaped by hand, capturing the rhythmic breath of the earth and the artist’s intuitive touch.
Form & Texture
The piece features a striking biomorphic form, echoing the organic shapes of moss-covered stones or ancient volcanic formations. The surface is treated with a complex layering of textured glazes—vivid lichen greens, deep charcoal blacks, and earthy ochres—creating a tactile experience that invites you to run your fingers over its "living" skin.
Artistic Philosophy
Embracing the essence of Wabi-Sabi, this sculpture finds perfection in imperfection. It stands as a bridge between the wild mountain landscapes and your personal living space. Whether used as a unique Ikebana vase or displayed as a standalone art piece, it brings a grounded, serene energy to any interior.
