The Magic of Serendipity: From White to Jade
The story of this vase is its most beautiful feature. While crafting, a layer of delicate creamy-white glaze was accented with deep black stains. In a stunning, unexpected transformation during firing, the stain bled into the glaze, dissolving the edges of the initial design. This chemical dance transformed the creamy white into a deep, mesmerizing celadon-green, creating a texture that mirrors the depth and light of natural jade stone.
Artistic & Organic Design
The surface is a sculpture in itself, covered in irregular, bubbling organic patterns that flow and merge, reminiscent of ripples in water or the cells of a living organism. The lower section remains a rugged, unglazed volcanic dark brown, offering a powerful textural contrast to the smooth, jade-like upper body. The entire piece sits on small, raw feet, elevating it with a sense of airy balance.
